My Why

    My name is Melissa Mitchell, and Proclaiming Freedom is the current act of obedience that God has called me to. God has combined my gift of writing and my passion for Him in what I hope is a source of transparency, honesty, and encouragement here in this blog.

     I believe that Scripture is the only Truth and that Jesus is the only way to Heaven. There is no true, meaningful life apart from Him, and my purpose is to proclaim the freedom that He has given me and that He offers to all who call upon His name. I believe that all life matters, from the moment of conception until natural death, and that God has a plan and purpose for every soul He creates.

      The desire of my heart is share truth, shine light, and seek the Lord with all who read this. I don't have all the answers but I know the One who does, and I hope this brings you one step closer to the abundant life and authentic freedom that He offers us all.
